charming stay with easy access to parks and historic sites

I had a memorable stay with an immaculate bedroom and the kindest staff. The nearby Dinton Park & Philipps House is a lovely place for a stroll, and the fascinating Old Wardour Castle is just under 3 km away, perfect for those like me who enjoy exploring landmarks.

    good price-quality ratio
    drinks nice

It was just a perfect match for a short stint in Ansty with good price-quality ratio. The 12.5% service charge was a bit unexpected, but the drinks were nice. Be prepared for a bit of noise from above.

Had a fantastic stay with friends! We loved the cozy atmosphere and had fun exploring local spots like the beautiful gardens and nearby historical sites. The staff were really helpful and the food exceeded our expectations. A perfect venue for any celebration.

We missed having a designated sitting area for our group to relax and chat together, but we understood the space limitations.

    excellent food
    spacious room
    helpful staff
    dirty entrance
    cold room
    dusty spots

The Royal Oak has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The gourmet food blew me away. the chef offered insightful recommendations and took pride in his work. I loved the spacious Deluxe Twin LG Double room. the bed felt fantastic. the room was cold when I arrived, and it took a while for the radiators to heat up fully. I noticed dust in various spots and some cobwebs near the windows. The entrance to my room definitely could use a solid clean, and the stairs looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Regardless, the overall vibe of the pub, including the beautiful oak room and lovely garden seating area, made up for these minor inconveniences. The quality of towels and food was exceptional. I would return for another stay with family.

    busy service

Charming traditional pub ambiance, enhanced by clean, well-appointed bedrooms featuring comfortable beds and fresh milk in the fridge. The staff delivered exceptionally friendly and helpful service. Dinner included warm bread, with deliciously cooked food that exceeded expectations. some dishes felt a bit pricey, and the noise level was high during peak hours, which might detract from a quiet evening.

    spotless room
    friendly staff
    comfortable bed
    salty food

A cozy getaway in the countryside

I stayed here for one night, and wow! The place is just so stunning. The room was spotless, and that bed felt like clouds. I loved the fresh milk and coffee station—they really nail the personal touch. The staff were super friendly, but the skate I had for dinner was a bit on the salty side. Still, I’d say the food’s worth it!

    accessible design
    signage issues
    directional clarity

The decor in the Royal Oak is charming and cozy, incorporating lovely 18th-century architecture with modern touches, which created an inviting ambiance. There are easy access points for seniors, ensuring comfort while moving around.

Need better signage and clearer directions around the venue.

    kitchen noise

A comfortable stay with spacious rooms and excellent food, though the steak wasn't cooked as requested. The service was friendly and helpful, and the location is lovely. Minor noise from the kitchen and an outdated staircase carpet detracted slightly from the experience.
